Gregorio Gitti
Partner and President of REP Srl

He is Chairman of Centro REP Srl and former Founder and Chairman of Fondazione Etica.
A Full Professor of Civil Law at the University of Milan, he is the author of numerous publications (essays, articles, and case notes), mainly in the fields of the law of obligations, contracts, banking, and financial markets, as well as four volumes titled Regulatory and Normative Contracts, Padua, Cedam, 1994; The Object of Settlement, Milan, Giuffré, 1999; Contractual Regulation of the Market and Robotic Decision-Making, Brescia, Scholé – Morcelliana, 2020; The Contract Through Its Object, Bologna, Il Mulino, 2022. He is also the editor of the volumes Private Autonomy and Independent Authorities: The Metamorphosis of the Contract, Bologna, Il Mulino, 2006; The Third Contract, Bologna, Il Mulino, 2008; Collective Conciliation, Milan, Giuffrè, 2009; Contracts for Business, Bologna, Il Mulino, 2013.
A lawyer and founding partner of the Milan-based law firm Gitti and Partners, he has coordinated, as legal advisor, some of the most important mergers and corporate integrations at the national level in the banking and financial sectors, as well as in the industrial field, particularly in the energy, aviation, and welfare sectors. He has also been entrusted with consultancy and pro veritate legal opinions by major financial, banking, and insurance institutions, as well as by public bodies, independent authorities, and government entities.
He is the Founder and Director of the Osservatorio del Diritto Civile e Commerciale, a journal published by Il Mulino and the first Italian legal journal accredited by Scopus. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Rivista di Diritto Privato, published by Cacucci Editore, and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Rivista di Diritto Civile, published by Cedam.
He is a founding partner of two publishing houses specializing in artist books, as well as a founding partner of the agricultural company Castello di Perno.
He has held numerous administrative positions in listed companies, including Ansaldo STS S.p.A., Edison S.p.A., and Sabaf S.p.A.
He served as a Member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies during the 17th Legislature, and was a member of the I Committee (Constitutional Affairs), the II Committee (Justice), the VI Committee (Finance), the Committee on Rules of Procedure, the Appeals Board, and the Study Commission for the drafting of principles and guidelines on guarantees, rights, and duties for the use of the Internet.
